Obesity is a complex medical condition that is influenced by genetics,
hormonal imbalances, diet, and physical activity.
Obesity can impact various physiological systems in the body, leading to chronic diseases and other health issues. It is evident that several interconnected factors play a role, such as the body’s adaptive and maladaptive metabolic reactions, mechanisms like oxidative stress and inflammatory response alterations. These factors are intertwined and play a part in the inability to loss weight and maintain health.
Many studies suggest the adipose (fat) tissue (AT) has been recognized as an active organ involved in numerous metabolic, hormonal and immunological processes, affecting other organs and systems, playing an important role in whole-body homeostasis and dysregulation, causing the imbalances correlated to chronic disease, such as becoming overweight and obese amoung other diseases.
