Target Moderate to severe wrinkles and lines
Popular treatments that can help you look and feel younger
Botox® & Xeomin® both work beneath the surface and temporarily reduces the underlying muscle activity that causes moderate to severe facial lines and wrinkles.
Along with repeated muscle contractions from facial movements cause skin to furrow and fold, gradually resulting in the formation of facial lines. These repeated expressions over time can cause semi-permanent contractions of muscles around the eyebrows, eyes, forehead, and mouth resulting in fine to severe lasting lines.
Xeomin® and Botox® (both neurotoxins), address dynamic wrinkles. They work by blocking nerve signals that trigger muscle contractions. This temporarily paralyses the overactive facial muscles, releasing the skin from the muscle tenson, reducing the facial lines and restores a youthful appearance.
Xeomin and Botox belong to the Botulinum Toxin Type A (BoNT-A) family, derived from the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. Xeomin and Botox have undergone rigorous clinical studies to
prove their effectiveness.
One major difference between Xeomin and Botox lies in their formulation. Botox contains accessory proteins, known as complexing proteins, which surround the active molecule. These proteins are not present in Xeomin. This difference can influence the way your body responds to the treatment. Choosing which product to use should be determined
during a consultation.
Xeomin and Botox have demonstrated their effectiveness and safety through clinical studies. Understanding recovery times, duration of results and common side effects is vital.
Avoid – For patients who are allergic to eggs, suffer from neurological diseases or pregnant, or breastfeeding, treatment is not recommended.
Report to your provider if you experience any redness, blisters, itching, increased swelling or increased pain after your treatment
A good candidate for Botox® and Xeomin® is someone who wants to reduce wrinkles and fine lines and is in good overall health.
Botox® and Xeomin® results are typically noticeable within a few days, with full effects developing in one to two weeks.
The results of Botox® and Xeomin® can last three to six months, depending on the treatment and individual factors.
Botox® and Xeomin® require minimal downtime. A patient may experience mild swelling, redness, or bruising in the injected area, which will usually disappear within a few days.
To minimize bruising before treatment, avoid blood-thinning medications and alcohol. After treatment, follow your practitioner’s instructions, avoid strenuous activities, and apply ice to reduce swelling.
Botox® and Xeomin® treatments involve cleaning the treatment area and injecting the solution into the targeted muscles with a fine needle. You may experience mild discomfort during the injections, typically taking about 30 minutes.
