The idiot proof diet is a strictly diet handbook that claims that they can help you lose 9 pounds every 11 days. Not just the very first 11 days, but EVERY 11 days. Can it be real? Does the diet handbook really work?
I definitely could not believe it when I first heard about if from my brother.
However, after searching so long for something that will work, I went ahead and bought. The handbook is a diet cycle that lasts 11 days and you can repeat it with different food to continue losing the pounds. So now, after the first cycle of the idiot proof diet, here is my idiot proof diet reviews.
Did it work? Did I Lose 9 Pounds while on the Diet?
I did not lose the exact 9 pounds mentioned but it was rather close. I was dropping 8.3 pounds through the very first round of the idiot proof diet. I even started to see results of the weight loss diet within the first week of the weight loss diet.
It is really easy to follow without any complicated rules or procedures. Besides that, I didn’t have to pay additional money for any other programs or equipments besides the.
The food on the diet is easily found and best of all, I could find food that don’t need much cooking so I could get my meal ready in less than 5 minutes.
Diet…Do I have to Starve Myself?
Whenever I spoke to my friends about my new found weight loss diet, they would start questioning me if there was a need to starve ourselves and how impossibly unattainable that would be.
However, in this diet, there is no need to starve. And…you will be able to eat 4 meals a day! Yes, just by eating more meals a day, your body will be constantly working on the food. The increase in the metabolism rate in your body helps you to burn more calories than before.
Then, it will be followed by the next question…which are the types of food we had to shun?
Of course you can’t be stuffing yourself with deep fried chicken wings everyday and still expect to lose weight. But you will still get to eat those food before you second round of the diet. I will get to that part in awhile.
Now, you will still be able to eat your pastas. You will be able to eat your meat, which is something that I will not be able to live without, and your cheese, eggs and of course, fruits and vegetables. This idiot proof diet ensures that you lose weight without hurting your health. So you don’t have to worry that you will end up becoming unhealthy and weak at the end of the diet.
Alright..Here’s the Exciting Part
You know how you can never stay on one diet for too long? You will end up craving for food that you cannot have. Yes, it is true that what you can’t have simply makes you want it more.
I’ve been on so many diets and failed so many times simple because I would try to last as long as I can without certain food or following certain diet. However, after a month or so, I would usually give up as I don’t see the results and it is just too much sacrifice to give up all my food for something that barely works!
This is when the diet is really great. After the first cycle of diet, you will get a break from the diet. In the 3 days of break from the idiot proof diet, you will get to eat ANYTHING you want. I’m currently taking the break now and I’m loving it!
Will I End Up Putting Back My Weight During the 3 Days Break From the Diet?
If you had followed the diet guide well, your body will already be attuned to burning more calories than you normally do so no matter what you eat, it is burning lots of calories off your body.
Also, during the 3 days of cheat in the diet, I didn’t crave much for unhealthy food, I actually craved quite a lot for fruits. Perhaps it was a habit cultivated from the 11 days of diet. Besides that, I didn’t seem to have much appetite, perhaps due to the habit of eating 4 times a day.
My close circle of friends joined me in the weight loss journey and it worked great for us. We did’t end up wolfing down every unhealthy food we could find as we didn’t have to starve ourselves white we were on the diet. We did eat till we were satisfied and when the break came, it just allowed us to indulge in the food we love so that we wouldn’t end up bingeing on them like what people normally do at the end of a long diet.
Therefore, the 3 days cheat from the idiot proof diet is a truly fantastic idea…especially so for a person like me. I really don’t have lots of self-discipline so usually, I end up cheating in all the diets I had been on.
This is the very first diet that I went through without having the unbearable urge to cheat. I sailed through the idiot proof diet and lose weight without much effort on my part!

One reason why I didn’t have to cheat was the fact that they didn’t have strict rules like you can only eat this or that today. They allow much flexibility, giving you the choice to choose the food based on what you prefer to eat.
Plus….you will even be allowed to get some night snacks!
Yes! I was over the moon when I saw that. I’m the sorta person that stays up late every night and those normal diet would have me growling in hunger. I would be so hungry that with my growling stomach, I would not be able to sleep properly. Usually I would end up so hungry that I eat whatever I could find in the fridge, eating more than I should be.
And…You will have the choice to drink wine!
I’m sorry if I got you thinking that you will get to down bottles and bottles of beer down your throat each day. You will get to drink, but not too much. Have a glass of wine after dinner would be alright.
